【basic plan】
・You will make a tumbler with an electric potter's wheel.
・At first, you will be guided by a craftsman one-on-one, and then you will make one by yourself, and after the experience, you will choose one to be fired.
◎Basic plan fee
5,500 yen per person x number of people *If you wish to extend your reservation at the end of each required time, we will charge 1,100 yen for 10 minutes.

◎Required time and contents of the basic plan

【Option - specify glaze】
◎The glaze used when firing your work is basically Himehagi, but you can change the glaze as an option.
1. Basic Himehagi (left photo below) - included in the basic plan price.
2. Transparent blue glaze, white princess, iron red glaze (in the photo below) - 1,100 yen per piece
*Changes from Himehagi can be made on the same day.
3. Iron blue glaze, Gohonte, Shirahagi hanging (right in the photo below) - 1,650 yen per piece
*Different from 1 and 2 above, there are advance preparations such as adding sand to the potter's clay and kneading the soil.
*Since this clay is a little harder to make than 1 and 2 above and contains sand, it is a little more difficult to make.

【Option - skill experience】
There are many processes to complete one work, but you can experience some of them with this option.

・Because you need to be as close to the potter's wheel as possible and spread your legs wide, please wear trousers instead of a skirt if possible.
・Clay may stick to your elbows and above, so we recommend that you wear clothes that allow you to roll up your sleeves. If you are in the middle of your trip, it will be a warehouse, but you can change clothes.
・Please do not wear false fingernails or nails as they may come off.
◎ About aprons and towels at the time of experience We will lend you at our shop, so there is no need to take home an apron with clay attached.
*We do not have aprons for children, so if you need a smaller apron, please bring your own.
1. Please come to the store at the reservation time on the reservation date. For the location of the shop, please search for "TaiKeian" on the search site.
If you are coming by car, please park in front of the shop. (This space is not a no-parking area.)
We usually work in the back of the store, so please press the intercom when you come.
2. We will pick you up and take you to our office.
3. Fill out the prescribed form and explain the details of the experience. (about 10 minutes)
* Please remove jewelry such as rings and watches before the experience.
4. First, you will see a model of Hagi ware traditional craftsman Taikei Higuchi. (about 10 minutes)
5. Craftsmen will carefully guide you one by one in order. (About 10 minutes per person)
6. If you have completed the individual instruction, please make one yourself based on it. (About 10 minutes per person)
7. After the experience, you will be asked to choose one of the items you have made. If you would like to fire both of them, we will do so for an additional 2,200 yen.
◎About taking pictures during the experience
We will take about 10 to 20 photos of the experience and the final commemorative photo with the craftsman with our smartphone.
・For iPhone users, it will be transferred by AirDrop after the experience is over.・For those other than iPhone, we will send it by e-mail at a later date.
*If you can collage multiple photos and upload them on our SNS, we will give you a chopstick rest at the time of payment.
◎After the experience
After the experience, please move to the shop and make payment. At that time, if you have a favorite work, you can also buy it.
* We will serve drinks at the shop, but please forgive us if we are unable to do so due to various circumstances.
◎About shipping your work
At a later date, a traditional craftsman will complete the following process and then ship it.
Artworks created through experience → Drying → Finishing (shaving) → Drying → Unglazed firing → Glazing → firing
*It will take 2 to 6 months (depending on the situation) because it will be fired together with the work made by the traditional craftsman.
*The craftsman will dry and shave the two pieces you have made, and if the one you choose is damaged during the drying and shaving process, the second piece will be unglazed, glazed, and fired. If both pieces are damaged at this stage, we will send you a replacement item (work by Hagi ware traditional craftsman Taikei Higuchi).

We will respond according to the guidelines by the Japan Tourism Agency, such as measures at the border.
◎ Regarding infection control (infection control measures in accordance with national guidelines)
Automatic thermometers and disinfectors are installed in the store, so please feel free to use them if you wish.
We leave it to the customer to decide whether to wear a mask, but depending on the number of people and other circumstances, we may ask you to wear a mask.
During the pottery experience, the craftsman will face you at a close distance and guide you, so we will wear a mask.

◎About correspondence to children
Our Hagi ware experience is aimed at ages 10 and up, but the youngest child so far was 6 years old.
In the case of children, even if they are the same age, there are differences in height and hand size, so basically it is important to sit in front of the potter's wheel and see if your feet can reach the pedals.
Also, in the case of children, since each person's ability to concentrate may be different, we will continue to provide individual guidance for children's experiences.
In addition, as a response to children at the time of individual instruction for adults, until now we have enjoyed playing with clay with lumps of potter's clay.
